1.) Processing of your personal data when you visit our website
1.1.) Processing of access data

When you visit our website, we store access data in web server logfiles. The following personal data are recorded:

  • IP address (using the Wordfence security plug-in, version 7.1.4)

Purpose of data processing
These data are evaluated statistically in order to improve the services on our website and make them more user friendly, to identify and resolve errors more quickly, and to manage server capacity. We will use these personal data to take legal action only if we find specific indications of unlawful use of our website.

Retention period
The data are stored indefinitely in the WordPress database. They can only be viewed in the WordPress backend. Individual entries can be deleted on request, only using the phpMyAdmin database tool.

Legal basis
The legal basis for processing access data is THERME WIEN’s legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (online services and data security).

We use cookies on various pages on our site in order to make your visit to our website more attractive and to enable the use of certain functions. Personal data will be stored for 28 months and then deleted.

When you purchase a VAMED Vitality World (VVW) gift voucher, THERME WIEN processes the following personal data that you provide (“the data”), for the purpose of processing the transaction:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Address
  • E-mail address
  • Telephone number
  • Company (where applicable)
  • Payment details (encrypted)
  • Customer account details (orders placed: article, price, IP address)
  • Text and images/photos entered by the Customer for print-at-home vouchers
  • Gift card value queries (gift card number, date, IP address)

Purpose of data processing
The data are processed for the purpose of processing the transaction concerned and – provided that you have given your consent – for marketing communications regarding the VVW resorts’ products and services, special offers and events, and relevant news from the VVW resorts (including sending corresponding marketing materials by post, e-mail and, where applicable, text message, as well as contact by telephone where applicable).

Legal basis
Data processing for the purpose of processing the transaction is carried out pursuant to Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of the contract). Processing of the data for marketing purposes is performed in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).

Data transmission
For the purpose of processing the transaction concerned, the data are transferred on THERME WIEN’s behalf to VAMED Standortentwicklung und Engineering GmbH (Sterngasse 5, A-1230 Vienna), INCERT eTourismus GmbH & Co KG (Leonfeldnerstrasse 328, 4040 Linz), mediasupport GmbH (Lerchenfelder Strasse 124/6, 1080 Vienna), Usercentrics GmbH (Sendlinger Str. 7, 80331 Munich), card complete Service Bank AG (Lassallestrasse 3, 1020 Vienna) and Datatrans AG (Kreuzbühlstrasse 26, CH-8008 Zurich), and for marketing purposes to hi.one digital marketing OG (Gurkgasse 43/2, 1140 Vienna). Retention period
The data are stored for the period required to process the transaction concerned and for marketing purposes, and for longer where required by statutory retention periods, if legal claims arising from the contractual relationship can be asserted, or on other legitimate grounds justifying storage for a longer period.

Data are stored for the period required to process the transaction. The data are only stored for longer when required by statutory retention periods, if legal claims arising from the contractual relationship can be asserted, or on other legitimate grounds that justify storage for a longer period.

When you enter an online competition, THERME WIEN processes the following personal data that you provide:

Purpose of data processing
The data you provide when you enter an online competition will be processed for the purpose of contacting you in the event that you win the competition.

Processing of your personal data by THERME WIEN is based solely on the consent you provide when you enter an online competition (Art. 6[1][a] GDPR).

Retention period
Data processed for the purpose specified above are stored until the end of the online competition concerned.

Recipients
For the purpose of processing your entry to a particular online competition, your data will be transferred to THERME WIEN and our service provider ONELOGIN Business & Technology Consulting GmbH (newsletter tool operator).

Withdrawal of consent
You can withdraw your consent to enter an online competition at any time by e-mailing us at marketing@thermewien.at.

5.) Facebook fan page

THERME WIEN operates a Facebook fan page where your personal data are processed. As the operator of the fan page, THERME WIEN is also the controller in the meaning of data protection legislation.

Your personal data can be collected on the fan page using cookies, regardless of whether you have a Facebook account or not. Facebook is solely responsible for decisions regarding the use of these cookies. THERME WIEN has no influence over these decisions. The protection of your personal data is very important to us.

THERME WIEN implements appropriate technical and organisational measures in the meaning of Art. 32 GDPR that take into account the state of the art, the costs of implementation and the nature, scope, context and purposes of processing as well as the risk of varying likelihood and severity for the rights and freedoms of natural persons.
