Vaccinated persons (Geimpft)
Persons tested negative - PCR only (Getestet)
Persons recovered from a past infection with COVID-19 (Genesen) The certificates for vaccinated and recovered persons and persons tested negative are equal in terms of their validity, but differ in their respective validity periods.
based on the applicable 2nd COVID-19 Measures Ordinance of the Federal Government and the applicable Vienna COVID-19 Measures Accompanying Ordinance 2021, LGBl, for Vienna No. 48/2021
The following applies as proof of a low epidemiological risk together with the presentation of an official photo ID:
Entry testing (PCR test only)
Evidence from an authorized body of a negative result of a molecular biological test for SARS-CoV-2, the acceptance of it must not be more than 48 hours ago.
For children from 6 to 12 years of age, a rapid antigen test (not older than 48 hours) or a PCR test (not older than 72 hours) continues to apply.
The Ninja Pass is accepted as proof of an authorized body for primary school children, provided it contains all three stickers for the respective week.
No proof is required for children under six years of age
Proof of validity is required until the end of business on the day of the visit.
A vaccination certificate
A vaccination certificate is a document confirming vaccination with a vaccine listed below if the following conditions are:
a second vaccination, in which case the date of the second vaccination must not be more than 360 days ago, or
the date of the first vaccination was 22 days ago in the case of vaccines for which only one vaccination is intended, in which case that vaccination must not be more than 270 days ago, or
a vaccination, provided that a positive molecular biological test for SARS-CoV-2 or evidence of neutralising antibodies was available at least 21 days prior to vaccination and the vaccination was not carried out more than 360 days previously.
another vaccination, whereby this must not be more than 360 days ago and between this and a vaccination within the meaning of a, b or c must have passed at least 120 days
Only vaccines authorized by EMA – European Medicines Agency - will be accepted.
Sputnik V or chinese Sinopharm will not be accepted. Testing is necessary.
A proof of past infection
A proof of past infection is a medical or official confirmation of an infection with SARSCoV-2 that has been survived in the last six months and confirmed by a molecular biological test (e.g. PCR test). Proof of neutralising antibodies, which must not be older than 3 months, is equivalent to such proof.
